Class suspensions for Friday and Saturday (July 18 and 19)

MANILA (UPDATED AS OF 11:00 PM) – Various local government units and institutions have announced that classes will remain suspended on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19, as the country recovers from the damage brought by typhoon “Glenda.”

The following areas suspended classes for Friday:

All levels

  • Antipolo City (public and private)
  • Batangas Province (public and private)
  • Cavite (public and private)
  • Las Pinas (public and private)
  • Laguna (public and private)
  • Paranaque City (public and private)
  • Quezon (public and private)

Pre-school to high school

  • Marikina (public and private)
  • Muntinlupa (public and private)
  • Pasay (public)
  • San Mateo, Rizal (public and private)

The following schools, colleges and universities also suspended classes for Friday:

  • Ateneo de Manila Grade School
  • City University of Pasay
  • Saint Francis of Assisi College (all levels in all campuses)
  • Saint Anthony School (all levels in all campuses)
  • St. James College of Quezon City
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines Laboratory High School (students only)
  • Technological University of the Philippines-Manila (all levels)

The following, meanwhile, suspended classes for Friday and Saturday:

  • Adamson University (including work)
  • De La Salle University-Dasmariñas
  • De La Salle University Science and Technology Complex (all levels, including work)
  • Miriam College (including work)
